HOUSTON – Duane Cannon said it only took seconds for a man to break into his truck.
"Less than five minutes before I stepped out of Los Cucos," Cannon said, in reference to a Los Cucos restaurant located on the 9500 block of North Sam Houston Parkway East, in Humble.
Cannon wrapped up a meeting at the restaurant Wednesday morning, only to find his rear driver's side window broken and a computer bag removed.
"I had a computer bag in there and I had an MP3 player in there, but the most important thing was my Microsoft Surface Pro," Cannon said.
Surveillance video shows the theft in progress. After pulling up, the man can be seen near the driver's side lock.
"When he tried to first get into my door, he messed up the door lock -- tried to punch it in," Cannon said.

When that didn't work, the man can be seen in the video, attempting to knock in the rear driver's side window.
"He got some device. You don't see him swing. You don't see him do anything but looks like he rakes something across my window," Cannon said.
Cannon is offering a $2,000 reward for information that leads to his belongings being returned. He uses the device for work. Moreover, images stored on the device hold sentimental value.
"I do a lot of mission work. I just got back from Africa Friday and had a lot of pictures on there from our trip," Cannon said.
Cannon describes the person in the video as a black man with a thin build, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and wearing a black hat, a white T-shirt, long red shorts, black socks and white tennis shoes.
He was driving a black Mercedes-Benz sedan with a temporary license plate, according to Cannon.
