VIDEO: Stunning Astros World Series holiday lights in League City

LEAGUE CITY, Texas – It's been almost four weeks since the Astros won the World Series, and fans are still celebrating.

The Gallagher family in League City is paying tribute to the World Series champions with a stunning holiday lights display.

“We grew up watching Biggio and Bagwell and crossing our fingers and it just didn’t go their way and this year it did. It’s just amazing you know because of the time they did it, with all the Hurricane Harvey mess and stuff like that and it’s, you know it wasn’t a star player it was a team effort,” said Michelle Gallagher.

It is a beautiful sight you have to see in person.

The home has a string of lights in the Astros famous rainbow throwback colors.

It also has monitors that show clips from Game 7 of the World Series.

However Astros isn’t the only show this house puts on. The full run lasts about 45 minutes and includes a number of Christmas classics. Sometimes there’s even a dancing light man played by Gallagher’s daughter.

Gallagher’s husband, Troy, built about 95 percent of the display from scratch. It began two years ago with their giant toy soldiers, one moving light face and one of the light trees. And get this, he did it because of how much his wife loves Christmas.

“He starts like in May getting ideas. He starts getting his equipment and materials. He puts all this together. He programs it and he’s a perfectionist so I see the heartache when things don’t go the way they should and stuff like that so it’s so thoughtful, because you can throw money at someone and say here, here’s this expensive gift but for someone to put the time and effort to create something like this and it’s for, for, me it’s very thoughtful,” said Gallagher.

Troy is getting ready to retire so he’ll have even more time on his hands to make next year’s decorations dance even more.  In fact his wife is hoping he will create a Halloween show for the house as well.
