HOUSTON - Google is teaming up with SpaceX for a new venture that sounds likes it is out of this world, low cost satellite internet service.

It's a system than would use SpaceX satellites to beam low-cost internet service around the globe to some of the billions of people who do not have it.

This is all according to a report on the website called, "The Information."
Unfortunately there have been problems with satellite internet services in the past.

The satellite services have traditionally been unable to deliver high-speed services.
The reason is because the spectrum used for satellite transmissions delivering wireless internet is not as strong as the spectrum used by wireless carriers.

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said last week that his company is working on creating a global communications system.
