Houston police said the chase began in the 11000 block of South Sam Houston Parkway and ended in the 10300 block of West Airport Road.

"The vehicle pulled away from him going in excess of 90 mph and then the vehicle hit two curbs," Assistant Chief Wendy Baimbridge said. "He lost control of the vehicle, flipped approximately four times and the final rest of the vehicle was at a fire hydrant there."

Police said the person killed was the brother of the driver who police said was being uncooperative and refused to give them his name.
