HOUSTON – According to a source who is in constant communication with Noor Zahi Salman, Noor and Omar Mateen did exchange text messages during the rampage.
The exchange was as follows.
Omar's mother called Noor at 2 a.m., waking her up and asking her about Omar's whereabouts.
Noor replied she didn't know and hung up the phone. She then texted the following:
Noor: where are you?
Omar: Do you see what's happening?
Noor: No ?
Omar: I love you, babe.
At 4 a.m. Police called Noor and instructed her to come out of her apartment with her hands up and she complied. It was then she was told what was happening.
