Simpson Galleries hosts quarterly auction this weekend

HOUSTON – Auctioneers of Fine Arts and Antiques was established in 1962 by William Simpson.

The business has stayed in the family and is currently being run by Simpson's grandson, William Ray Simpson Jr.

“He was a historian and an educator as well, and I think that originally he started this sort of as a hobby and wanted to educate people why things are important historically,” Simpson said of his grandfather.

Auctions are held once every three months, with their next live event taking place this weekend.

With more than 750 items up for bid, including some George and Barbara Bush memorabilia to support leukemia research, there is plenty to see.

If you find something of interest, online bidding is already underway.
