'She ran me over!' Woman hit by car after traffic incident

A woman was hospitalized after being hit and dragged by a car after a traffic incident in Spring, officials said.

The incident was reported at 11:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Buckminster Drive and Atherstone Street in the Fox Run subdivision.

“She ran me over,” 29-year-old Tiffany Lafoy said, from her hospital bed late Sunday afternoon.

Lafoy, a mother of four children, is currently unable to walk and said she is in excruciating pain after a 16-year-old girl ran her down with her car Saturday night. Lafoy said she was hit and dragged several feet under the car.

Officials said Lafoy and her brother got out of their vehicle and approached the window of the teen’s car.

Lafoy said she and her brother wanted to talk to the girl.

“She got out. I got out. My brother got out. She got back in and then ran me over,” Lafoy said.

The teen told officials she felt threatened and tried to take off, and that was when she hit the woman, officials said.

Officials said the 16-year-old girl, along with three other teenagers, stayed at the scene and contacted police.

Lafoy said she is now being treated for extensive injuries at Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Woodlands.

She has deep facial cuts, torn skin, a broken arm, a broken hand, four broken ribs, two punctured lungs and a shattered pelvis.

Channel 2 Investigates spoke to Lafoy just before she underwent reconstructive surgery on her pelvis.

Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable's Office deputies said they questioned the teen at the scene but did not arrest her.

Deputies said the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office told them not to detain her and to let her go, which Lacoy and her husband Charles, did not understand.

“She should go to prison. I think it’s inhumane. Who does that to somebody?” Lafoy said.

“I witnessed her get into her car, the same car she ran my wife over with and drive away,” Charles said

Officials said both stories are conflicting as to what happened and the DA’s Office is still investigating.

The 16-year-old girl told officials that the man with Lafoy may have thrown something at her and made her scared, which is why she attempted to leave the scene.
