Storms winding down late Saturday night

HOUSTON – A group of strong thunderstorms are rolling through the northern counties over the next few hours producing heavy rain and quarter size hail with some additional storms firing up along the I-35 corridor. 

We’re are not expecting most of these storms to hold together by the time they head towards the Houston metro area, however, some leftover showers may linger through the overnight hours.

Otherwise, it will stay mostly cloudy with muggy and mild air and temperatures in the low 70s.
