HOUSTON – A serial robber has been targeting popular stores recently.
Target, Bed Bath & Beyond and Trader Joe's have all been targeted by the serial robber, according to Houston police.

The robber has hit nearly a dozen businesses. He's also accused of multiple robberies in one day.
Police want him off the streets, especially since the stores he likes to target are packed with holiday shoppers.
His face has become familiar to robbery detectives.

He's not shy about being photographed by security cameras.
He's pulled off 11 robberies in 13 days, sometimes hitting two or three stores in a single day.
His method is always the same. He walks into a store, heads to the counter like a customer and hands the employee a note.
"What he does is hands them a note and threatens to shoot them if they don't give him money from the cash register," Detective Jeff Breiden, with the HPD Robbery Division, said.

The robber hasn't yet pulled a gun, but during a robbery at the Trader Joe's store on S. Shepherd on Dec. 5, the checker he robbed saw one sticking out of his waistband.
All of the robberies have been on the west side of Houston and inside the 610 Loop.
The man is described as middle-age, about 6 feet tall and weighing 220 pounds. He may have a scar on his left cheek.
So far, he hasn't hurt anyone, so police want to get him before that happens.
"We want to get him caught as fast as possible just because the fact you don't know if he's going to hurt somebody," Breiden said.
