HOUSTON - Security at Houston Astros games is about to get a lot tighter.

New security measures will go in place starting Tuesday night as the Astros take on the Atlanta Braves at Minute Maid Park.

All visitors will now have to walk through a metal detector when entering the stadium.

You'll also need to remove your cell phone from your pocket and place bags on a screening table.

Minute Maid Park is complying with new Major League Baseball security standards by installing 40 metal detectors.

All ballparks across the country are expected to have handheld or walk-through metal detectors by Opening Day 2015.
