Rockets star's wife becomes crime victim

Chris Paul's wife posts about incident on Instagram

Houston – It's definitely not the welcome Houston Rockets fans wanted for the newest star of the team. It appears Chris Paul's wife became a crime victim over the weekend.

Jada Crawley went public about the incident on Instagram. The post includes a picture of Crawley's Range Rover with no license plate. It appears someone stole the plate right off their SUV.

Crawley wrote: "In today's edition of #everydayadventures, someone helped themselves to my license plate. I suppose they needed it more than I did? First encounter with the local law enforcement, hopefully my last. #NoSirItDidNotBlowOff #AintNobodyGotTimeForThis #ICantMakeThisStuffUp #fmsphotoaday #September24"

Hopefully, the positive experiences will far outweigh this negative incident for CP3's family.

In the few months since Paul was traded to the Rockets, his wife has shared several photos of the family's new life in H-Town. Crawley's Instagram includes a post about trying out Houston restaurants. Another post shows them wearing Astros shirts. Another post shows their children riding bikes in The Woodlands.

And the post, perhaps more than any other, that proves CP3 and his family are now TRUE Houstonians: Crawley poking fun at the humidity.

Welcome to Texas, y'all.

Now let's win an NBA championship.
