PASADENA, Texas - Two armed men robbed a woman and stole her vehicle outside a Chase Bank in Pasadena, police said Tuesday.

The woman had left her daughter in the car when she got out to make a deposit at an ATM. Fortunately, the robbers let the girl get out of the car before they stole it, according to a news release from the Pasadena Police Department.

The robbery took place just before 9:20 p.m. Jan. 22, at the Chase Bank at 2929 Shaver St., officers said.

The woman told police she was approached by the men as she got out of her car. The thieves demanded money and personal items, officers said.

Her car was found a short time later at an apartment complex at 1301 Avenue A, in South Houston.

Officers with the South Houston Police Department said two suspicious men walked into the Stop and Save convenience store at 102 Allen Genoa Road, with one of them carrying a woman’s purse. The bag was brown, and looked similar to the one stolen from the robbery victim at Chase Bank, police said.

The other man made a phone call from inside the shop.

The pair walked around in the store until an older-model white car, possibly a Buick, came to pick them up. While inside the Stop and Save, one of the men removed his hat and jacket, then put them in the store’s trash can.

Police described the first robber as a man between the ages of 18 and 24; standing about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a thin build. He wore a red hooded sweatshirt with jeans and red shoes.

The second robber appeared to be the same age and height. He was also thin, but wore a pink baseball cap, glasses, a red zip-up jacket with black and white stripes at the shoulder, brown pants and black shoes.

Anyone with information on either man’s identity is asked to call the Pasadena Police Department at 713-477-1221 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
