Robber fires shot toward gas station employee

HOUSTON – Deputies need help finding a man who fired a shot during a robbery at a west Harris County gas station.

Harris County sheriff's deputies said a man held up a Shell gas station in the 1700 block of Fry Road about 10 p.m. on Oct. 4.

Investigators said the robber demanded cash and threatened to kill the clerk. While the employee was gathering the cash, the robber fired one shot into the floor next to the employee, deputies said.

The man demanded more cash, stuffed it in his shirt pocket and ran out of the store, detectives said.

The robber got away in a black, four-door, older model Mercedes-Benz, officials said.

The robber was described as black and 25 to 35 years old with a black beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing a tan cap, gray T-shirt and blue jeans.
