NORTHEAST HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man was shot to death in the stairwell outside his apartment in northeast Harris County, deputies said.
Darion Holmes, 24, was dropped off around midnight at the Costa Rialta Apartments at 5015 Aldine Bender, where he lives.
Deputies said they were called to the apartments for reports of a shooting and when they arrived, they found Holmes shot to death in the stairwell of building two, right outside his apartment.
At this point, deputies are not sure who the shooter is.
Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit are conducting the investigation.
