HOUSTON – Rescuers are working to free at least 50 residents and staff members who became trapped inside an assisted living home in northwest Harris County after Monday's flood.
The rescue effort is at the Atria Cypresswood assisted living facility in the 6600 block of Cypresswood Dr.
Sky 2 aerials show people standing in flood waters outside the home, and waving their hands for help. Harris County Precinct 4 constables brought in a truck to help pull people to safety.
Residents are being taken to Champions Forest Baptist Church at 15555 Stuebner Airline.
