Red Flag Warning

HOUSTON - A Red Flag Warning and Wind Advisory are in effect today. Strong, northerly winds around 20-30 mph with higher gusts are expected throughout the day. Low relative humidity levels along with windy conditions will bring a high fire danger to our area. The Red Flag Warning and Wind Advisory will be in place until 7 p.m.

Daytime highs will top out in the mid 60s under sunny skies this afternoon. The normal high temperature for this time of year is 75.

The cold front has now pushed off the coast and is in the Gulf. With clear and calm conditions, Radiational Cooling will help to drop morning lows down to the mid 30s on Monday and Tuesday. Our  northern communities and rural areas will see a light freeze for an hour or two Monday and Tuesday mornings. If you live in those areas, you might want to cover your sensitive, tropical plants.
