HOUSTON – President Trump signed an executive order withdrawing the U.S. from the Trans-Pacific Partnership on Monday, drawing mixed reactions from members of both parties.

President Trump signed an executive order banning American tax money from funding abortions in other countries.

The third executive order imposed a freeze on nonmilitary government hiring. There has been no discussion on immigration.

"First and foremost, the president has been very clear. We need to direct agencies to focus on those who are in this country illegally and have a record," said White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer.

The president also plans to renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement, or NAFTA.

President Trump's nominee for secretary of state, former Exxon Mobil CEO Rex Tillerson has been approved for Senate committee Monday after Sen. Marco Rubio backed off from challenge and announced his support.
