Porch pirates target Richmond neighborhood in overnight raid

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – Fort Bend County authorities are searching for the people responsible for stealing porch furniture from a Richmond neighborhood on March 15.

Deputies said the people targeted the Harvest Green subdivision.

In surveillance video, a U-Haul truck is seen in the street with its back door up. A woman and a man are seen taking rocking chairs from a home's porch.

Authorities are hoping the surveillance video will help identify the thieves.

“We have great video, so we are hoping someone out there recognizes the suspects,” said Sheriff Troy E. Nehls. “In addition to the Crime Stoppers reward, I would like to treat the individual to lunch that comes forward with information that allows us to put these crooks behind bars. I realize you may want to remain anonymous. That is understood. But I do appreciate the effort to see justice done.”
