Trump visits San Antonio for fundraiser

SAN ANTONIO – Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, will visited San Antonio on Tuesday for a private fundraiser.

The luncheon was held at the Grand Hyatt at 600 E. Market St.

Tickets for the event started at $500 per person for the luncheon and went up to $100,000 per couple for four tickets to a VIP reception, a photo opportunity and the luncheon.

Gene Powell, Texas Finance Co-Chair for Trump Victory, made news on Monday when he released the following statement regarding the event:

"I am deeply disappointed and offended by the comments made by Mr. Trump on the video released on Friday. However, I made a commitment to the campaign and I have one obligation left to the campaign and that is a fundraising event tomorrow in San Antonio and I will fulfill that obligation as promised," Powell said.

Trump appeared on the campaign trail Monday for the first time after a tumultuous weekend and debate on Sunday.
