Police: Woman tied up, pistol-whipped in Houston home invasion

Woman says suspect sprayed mace in her face, other pistol-whipped her

HOUSTON - Houston police are investigating a violent home invasion after two suspects tied up and pistol-whipped a woman.

The home invasion happened Wednesday afternoon in the 12000 block of Gotham in southeast Houston.

The victim said that she was robbed by the suspects, but she didn't want to discuss too many details of the crime that left her shaken up and fearing for her family's safety.

According to the victim, one of the suspects sprayed mace in her face and the other pistol-whipped her.

Identifying the suspects shouldn't be difficult because they did not try to conceal their identities.

"The kids didn't cover their faces, and that means they could come back to my home. I don't want any of this getting out," said the homeowner.

Houston police dusted for fingerprints around the victim's home, but did not comment about the crime.

Meanwhile, people living in the neighborhood said that crime is starting to hit too close to home.

"That's why I got cameras and put locks on the door," said Gabriel Estrada. "Because I know stuff like that happens, but I never seen it happen over here."

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
