HOUSTON - Police said they are searching for thieves possibly responsible for committing three crimes in abut three hours in one northeast Houston community.

Police said the first victim started his Cadillac Devile to warm it up and ran back into his apartment on Tidwell Road. Officers said that is when a man and woman stole the Cadillac.

Nearly two hours later, a similar Cadillac was spotted nearby on Flemming Street where investigators said two men pistol whipped a 71 year-old man and robbed him.

Police said that victim had to be taken to the hospital for his injuries.

Then 20 minutes later, a few blocks down, a Cadillac was seen again pulling up next to a man named Javier Mendez as he got home from work.

Mendez said two men surrounded him, hit him with a gun and demanded he give up his wallet.

"They said give me the money, the keys and my wallet. i work everyday 10 hours , I don't know why these people do this," Mendez said.
