STAFFORD, Texas - Police are investigating after a mother found the bodies of her children inside their Stafford home.

Stafford police say shortly before 2 p.m. a call came from a mother who told them she found her kids inside the home in the 13100 block of Venice Lane and thought they might be dead. Officers entered and found the bodies of three people -- her 23-year-old son Faheem Mughal, her 18-year-old son Fahad Mughal and her 15-year-old daughter Rebecca Mughal.

Detectives say the bodies were scattered in different parts of the home with gunshot wounds.

According to a neighbor who lives down the street, the mother and father lived in the home with their four kids.

"Just to come home and see this is kind of shocking," said neighbor Les Carlson.

"It's a good neighborhood. We wouldn't expect anything like this to happen here," said resident Annisa Ramirez.

We're told a weapon was recovered at the home.

Right now, police say they are investigating this as a possible murder-suicide.

Police say the fourth child was not at home at the time of the incident.
