HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Just before midnight Saturday, Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a scene where they say a security guard shot and killed a man who pointed a gun at him.
The incident occurred in a fast food restaurant parking lot in the 10000 block of Eastex Freeway.

Police said the security guard observed a driver shoot a handgun in the parking lot before the man pointed the weapon at the guard.
The guard reportedly shot at the driver several times, police say.
The driver tried to flee and crashed in a median.
Police arrived to find the driver dead in his vehicle.
The case will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
