Police: Man shoots prostitute during southwest Houston rendezvous

HOUSTON – A prostitute was shot Friday during a robbery by a John in southwest Houston, police said.

The incident was reported about 4:15 a.m. near the intersection of Club Creek Drive and Country Creek Street.

Houston police said a man driving a teal-colored Crown Victoria with dark-tinted windows picked up the prostitute on Country Creek Street. They said the pair drove to a nearby church parking lot, where the John pulled out a gun, stole the prostitute’s purse, shot the person in the leg and fled the scene.

Police said the victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and was last listed in stable condition.
