HOUSTON - Houston police are searching for the person responsible for the murder of a 60-year-old man found dead in his apartment on Detroit near the Gulf Freeway.

Police said the man was found with his hands and feet bound with electrical cord and his body wrapped in a blanket.

Police said they received a call early Tuesday evening from the man's brother who was concerned that he had not been able to contact his sibling since Saturday. Officers arrived at the complex and found the man's front door unlocked.

Police said the victim was found in the living room of his apartment. Detectives said there were no signs of a struggle and nothing appeared to have been taken from the apartment.

Detectives said they are already looking into one possible motive for this murder.

"Possible that he may have some problems out here recently calling the police on some possible drug business that has been going on in the area," said Sgt. Robert Torres. "So we're looking at this as being some possible retaliation but that hasn't been confirmed yet."

The Harris County Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy to determine how the man was killed.
