HUMBLE, Texas - A Houston father was arrested, accused of leaving his baby in an unattended car, police said.

Humble police said James Arthur Esparza, 21, was driving in the 10000 block of W. FM 1960 with his 9-month-old child on Nov. 23.

According to court documents, Esparza pulled in front of another driver and slammed on his brakes in the middle of a busy intersection, police said.

He then jumped out of the vehicle to yell at the other driver, leaving his baby alone in the car, police said.

Esparza was charged with child endangerment.

The child was not injured, police said.

Esparza has since been released from Harris County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
