HOUSTON - A massive police search was underway in southeast Houston Wednesday.
Officers are looking for a person who escaped from a vehicle they were tracking, investigators said.

Police said a man robbed a Valero convenience store around 3 a.m. on El Dorado near Eastcape.

According to police, the man walked into the store, held the clerk at gunpoint and got away with cash and cigarettes in a duffel bag.
Police said he got away in a white Chevy Impala with two other men inside. Investigators said an officer caught up with the driver and pulled him over in an apartment complex parking lot.

One of the men jumped out of the car and ran away, police said. The driver stayed in the car and the other passenger got out and acted like he was talking on the phone, police said.

Police took both of men into custody.

One of the men was seen in handcuffs as officers searched him.

Officers used a helicopter and K-9 unit to search for the third man, but they were unsuccessful.
