HOUSTON – Police in northwest Houston arrested a man suspected of breaking into a car Wednesday morning.
Undercover officers were watching a neighborhood where a number of car burglaries happened on Poinciana and Costa Rica. At around 1:30 a.m., police said they saw a man breaking into a vehicle.

When officers tried to arrest the man, he ran off, according to investigators. Police brought in a K-9 unit and helicopter to search for him.
A police dog eventually found the man underneath a car and grabbed him by the arm.
He was taken to the hospital for treatment. A stolen handgun was found on the man, according to police.
Investigators said the man will likely face charges for burglary, evading arrest and possession of a weapon.
