Police: Burglar steals $200,000 in watches from Galleria Macy's

HOUSTON – A burglar made off with more than $200,000 in watches from the Macy’s store in The Galleria last month, police said.

The burglary was reported at 12:18 a.m. June 10.

Houston police said surveillance video showed the man using a hatchet-type tool to break the glass of the store’s front door and break several of the glass counters. They said the man stole several high-end watches and fled the scene.

Police said the man, who may be connected to several other burglaries in the Houston area, was last seen wearing a black hat, black jacket, black pants and black shoes.
