Police: 2 shot, 1 dumped in roadway

HOUSTON - A body found on the side of the road might be connected to an attempted robbery, police say.

10-year-old Kadaphius Vidaurri said he was outside of his home Sunday afternoon when he saw a body on the side of the 610 and Riddlewood.

"Me and my friends were playing right there and a car passed by and they pushed a man out on the freeway," said Vidaurri.

Kadaphius ran inside to tell his mother, April Foster.

"It's real quiet around here so that was surprising," said Foster.

Houston police said it happened a little after a shooting at this apartment complex off of Creek Bend.

A resident told police a group of men in a car approached him, attempted to rob him and then fired shots.

Police said the victim was shot in the shoulder but managed to run away and call 911.

The suspects fled. Police are trying to figure out if one of the suspects suffered a fatal gun shot wound during the shooting, and was the man Kadaphius found.

Whether the robbery and body on 610 are related, Foster said she wishes her son didn't have to see it.

If you have any information on the shooting or body found on 610, call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
