Person arrested in deadly hit-and-run motorcycle crash in northwest Harris County

HOUSTON – The Harris County Sheriff's Office has made an arrest in the case of a deadly motorcycle crash in northwest Harris County.

Sgt. Simon Cheng said the fatal wreck happened just before midnight Wednesday night in the 10800 block of Louetta Road and Tomball Parkway.

Cheng said the driver of a white Jeep Cherokee ran into the back of the motorcycle and then took off.

The Jeep was discovered at a nearby gas station, but the driver had abandoned the car, Cheng said.

A police dog was used to help find the driver. A man was found and questioned but deputies at the time could not determine if the person was a passenger or the driver. The sheriff's office has not revealed the identity of the was eventually arrested.

The identity of the motorcyclist has not been released.
