Pasadena police make arrest in fatal parking lot stabbing

PASADENA - Pasadena police have arrested a suspect in the fatal stabbing of a man in a parking lot.

Early Saturday morning police were called to the parking lot of PAL Gym at 2910 Southmore in Pasadena, for a reported stabbing.

When police arrived they found the victim, Deroderick Jackson, who had been stabbed multiple times in the torso.

Jackson was transported via Life Flight to Hermann Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Investigators learned the victim and his friends agreed to meet other people at the parking lot to fight each other. During the fight Jeremy Lozano pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times, then fled the scene.
