Optical store latest target of smash & grab thieves

More than $30,000 Worth of eyewear stolen

HOUSTON -  Thieves smash their way into an optical store overnight looking for expensive frames.

Police say the crooks broke out a window around 2 a.m. Thursday and crawled into the Optical Illusionz store off the Southwest Freeway near Edloe.

The burglars grabbed about $30,000 worth of eyewear and escaped.

Among the items stolen, an large display of Tom Ford glasses.

Officers are reviewing surveillance video in hopes of finding more clues about the crime.
