HOUSTON – An off-duty Houston Police Department officer was not shot at while pursuing robbery suspects on Tuesday night, according to HPD.

When the officer approached the disturbance, one of the suspects ran, so the officer chased after him.

The other suspect in the altercation then shot at the suspect the officer was chasing, according to police.

The officer was not hit and police said everyone is fine and the suspect is in custody.

KPRC will provide updates when they become available.
