North Loop frontage road to close for bridge demolition

Headline Goes Here

HOUSTON - The IH 610 North Loop westbound frontage road will be closed between East T.C. Jester and West T.C. Jester this weekend as construction crews demolish a portion of the frontage road bridge over White Oak Bayou in conjunction with the IH 610/US 290 reconstruction project.

On Saturday, March 31, at 9 p.m., through Monday, April 2, at 5 a.m., the IH 610 North Loop westbound frontage road will be closed.  Motorists will be detoured to East T.C. Jester north to 34th Street, to West T.C. Jester south to IH 610.  Local law enforcement will provide traffic control.

These closures are part of the ongoing work on the US 290 Program's $151.5 million IH 610/US 290 partial reconstruction project, which began July 2011.

TxDOT encourages motorists to use caution while driving through work zones.  For more information on this construction project and/or the US 290 Program, contact the US 290 Public Information Office at (713) 354-1532.
