While officers were at the scene, they received a call at 11:32 a.m. reporting a second bank robbery.

When police arrived at the second location, a TDECU in the 6000 block of Garth Road, witnesses told police the suspect and the SUV was spotted in the area of Garth Road and Interstate 10.

Police searched the area, including a shopping center in the 6900 block of Garth Road. Police said an officer spotted 32-year-old Victor Luna hiding behind a vehicle in the parking lot of a Vision Source. Police said Luna pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the officer.

Police said the officer, a five-year veteran, discharged his weapon and shot at the suspect but did not strike him.

Officers said Luna then fled the scene in the SUV, but stopped a short distance later and pulled over his car. He was then taken into custody without incident, police said.
