WALKER COUNTY, Texas - A second person has been arrested in the case of a teen found murdered in the Sam Houston National Forest.

Jose Leonel Bonilla-Romero was arrested Thursday in Houston by the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force for the murder of Klein Forest High School student Josael Guevara, whose body was found Sept. 23 near FM 2929 at Four Notch Road in Walker County.

Tim Whitecotton with the Walker Co. Sheriff's Office says Bonilla-Romero and Christian Zamora, who was arrested on Sept. 25, were members of a gang and that a hit was put out on Guevara.

Whitecotton says the 16-year-old Guevara died from blunt force trauma and that his body was badly mutilated with a machete. He says his Klein Forest ID card was found at the scene, as well as another piece of evidence that investigators said led them to the suspect's vehicle.

Zamora, 22, and Bonilla-Romero, 17, are charged with murder.
