Cicada -- Sparky's Homemade Ice Cream in Columbia, Mo., sold out of its only batch of this insect-filled dessert within hours of its debut in 2011. Employees collected the bugs, removed their wings and boiled them and covered them in brown sugar and milk chocolate. The base ice cream was a brown sugar and butter flavor.
