Thief breaks into car, steals Kit Kat and leaves apology

MANHATTAN, Ks. – Give me a break.

That’s what a thief must have been thinking when he stole a Kit Kat bar from a college student’s cup holder.

Hunter Jobbins, a Kansas State University student, wrote on Twitter that he left his car for about 15 minutes. When he returned, he found a handwritten note on a napkin and his candy bar was missing.

The note read:

“Saw Kit Kat in your cup holder. I love Kit Kats so I checked your door and it was unlocked. Did not take anything other than the Kit Kat. I am sorry and hungry.”

Jobbins told Metro, ‘When I came across it at first I was kinda upset and wondering what happened to my kitkat, then I realized how funny it was that it happened so my frustration turned into laughter.’

All is not lost, however. Kit Kat’s twitter account responded to Jobbins, offering to replace the stolen treat.
