HONOLULU – Firefighters in Hawaii say they have recovered the bodies of four people at the wreckage of a single-engine plane that crashed in mountains on Oahu.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports crew members aboard a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter spotted the wreckage during a search Saturday. Authorities said the plane left for a sunset flight Friday and never returned.
The newspaper reported that the Coast Guard said the plane was reported missing from Daniel K. Inouye International Airport around 10 a.m. Saturday.
A Houston family identified Alexis Aaron as one of the victims of the crash.
Aaron attended Mayde Creek High School and Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi.
Aaron's family said they are grieving and working on arrangements to go to Hawaii as soon as possible.
