The Department of Agriculture announced a recall of Bob Evans Farms' sausage links on Thursday.
The company is recalling more than 46,000 pounds of links because they may contain "extraneous materials," including hard plastic.
Bob Evans said the concerns were related to five specific products distributed in 12 states: Indiana, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin.
They advise consumers to throw away affected products or return them to the store.
The recalled links are marked "EST 6785" and were produced on Aug. 1.
The USDA said there haven't been any confirmed reports of injury or illness related to the recalled items.
