Babies born hours apart in same hospital named 'Romeo' and 'Juliet'

BLUFFTON, South Carolina – Two babies who were born in the same hospital in South Carolina in rooms next door to one another have been declared "star-crossed babies."

Photographer Cassie Clayshulte posted images of a baby boy and a baby girl whose parents named them Romeo and Juliet.

Clayshulte said at Morgan and Edwin Hernandez named their brand-new baby boy, Romeo at 2:06 p.m. Sunday.

Christiana and Allan Shifflett welcomed a baby girl in the room next door to Romeo slightly more than 18 hours later and named her and named her Juliet.

The parents picked their baby names early on in their pregnancies without ever knowing one another.

"Both babies have full heads of hair and and already make the cutest couple," Clayshulte wrote on her Facebook post, which has been shared over 1,000 times.
