Mutton bustin' champ gets chance to live dream of being cowboy

HOUSTON – Tuesday night's mutton bustin' champion at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo got a chance to live his dream.

Lawson David Knight wants to grow up to be a cowboy and, for one night, anyway he got to do just that.

It wasn't Lawson's first rodeo. He went mutton bustin' last year at the rodeo.

Lawson was the final ride and earned the high score of 91.

"I hang on really, really tight," he said about his ride.

The energetic Lawson, who said he had not eaten a bunch of sugar, walked away from his interview prematurely after receiving his winning belt buckle.
