Multiple stores opening earlier on Thanksgiving Day

HOUSTON - The Thanksgiving Day creep is getting even earlier.

Most retailers have said they are opening earlier because that's what customers wanted. Although some retail experts say earlier openings last year didn't increase sales as much as retailers anticipated, it just meant people spent their money earlier.

Stores that are open on Thanksgiving Day:

Best Buy will open their doors starting at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

Wal-Mart stores will also open up at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. The retail giant announced it will also offer holiday specials and door busters.

Target will open their doors to customers starting at 8 p.m.

Macy's, Sears, Kohls and J.C. Penney also announced that they will open up starting at 8 p.m.

Toys "R" Us plans to open at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

Old Navy announced that all 900 locations will be open on Thanksgiving Day from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
