METRO gathers feedback from KPRC2 Phone Bank

HOUSTON – METRO wants to know what transit upgrades people would like to see in their communities.

A tour of 25 community open houses started in July. On Thursday, METRO and KPRC2 hosted a phone bank from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. to answer your questions and get your feedback.

The feedback gathered at the phone bank, the community open houses and online will be used to develop a regional transit plan that will serve the area through 2040, at which point will be expected to reach 10 million in population and is expected to surpass Chicago as the nation's third largest city.

You can give your feedback by calling 713-778-8920 or online at METRONEXT.ORG, where you can also sign up for emails to help you stay informed as the planning progresses.

Some of what METRONext hopes to accomplish is to improve the frequent network, improve access to rail stations and bus stops and invest in moving more people.
