HOUSTON - A man robbed a southeast Houston bank on Tuesday.
Houston police said a man wearing a red mask walked into the Wells Fargo Bank in the 4800 block of West Bellfort about 10:50 a.m.
The man, who had a chrome- or silver-colored semiautomatic pistol, demanded cash and the teller handed over an undisclosed amount of it, police said.
Police originally said the man had been arrested, but the FBI later said that he was not.
The robber was described as black, 20 to 25 years old and 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall with a slender build. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and a white baseball cap.
