HUMBLE, Texas - An invaluable family memento was returned Saturday evening to the family of a fallen Marine.

Lanie Brown met with Patsy Maciel at the Calvary Hill Funeral Home in Humble to return a tribute flag that belongs to Maciel's fallen soldier son.

The meeting was held at the grave of Lance Cpl. Fred Maciel.

Brown and her husband found the flag at a flea market in June in Hemphill, Texas.

When she realized the flag belonged to a fallen Marine, she bought it with the intention of returning it to the Marine's family.

After Brown read the comments on the flag and discovered it belonged to Fred Maciel, she tracked down his family.

Patsy Maciel said she does not know how the flag ended up at a flea market, but she feels that having the flag feels like a piece of her son has come back to her.
