Man uses stun gun on ice cream truck driver

Stafford PD: Man driving Buick Park Avenue robs Southern Ice Cream Corporation driver

STAFFORD, Texas – Stafford police are looking for the robber who used a stun gun on a Southern Ice Cream Corp. truck driver.

The robbery happened at 13755 Greenland Drive on Saturday.

"Stunned him at least two or three times, demanded his personal effects, and took $300 in cash," said Henry Garcia with the Stafford Police Department.

Surveillance cameras at a gas station at Fondren Road and South Main Street captured images of the robber. The robber tried approaching the truck driver there but instead followed him to the parking lot of the company's distribution center, said police.

"He said due to his clothing, he didn't feel the impact of the stun gun but knew at that point the guy was threatening him and ordered his money from him," said Garcia.

The robber left the parking lot in a dark green, 1997-2002 Buick Park Avenue. The sedan has a dented driver's side door, a chrome strip of molding missing, areas of faded paint on the roof, and had paper plates.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Stafford police at 281-261-3950.
