Man shot twice in drive-by shooting

No arrests or motive in the case

HOUSTON - A man is in the hospital as police search for the person who shot him twice in a drive-by shooting, police said.

The man was standing in the street, in front of the home he shares with his grandmother on Safeguard near Holloway, when he was shot.

"The black male had been shot three times and at that point was waiting treatment by HFD," said Brian Evans, Houston Police.

Witnesses told police they spotted a white four-door sedan circling the area a few minutes before the shooting.

Investigators do not have a motive for the shooting and have not found anything at the scene that would indicate why the man would be targeted.

The victim was rushed to Ben Taub Hospital in critical condition.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
