HOUSTON - Police are searching for multiple people after a shooting outside a northeast Houston Walgreens left an innocent men dead and a 15-year-old boy injured.
Investigators said Edward James Long, 49, and his wife were walking around 1 a.m. into the Walgreens near Tidwell and Homestead roads when several people started shooting.
Long was hit and died at the scene, according to investigators.
"I'm waking up and I look to my left — I always see my brother and now I can't," Rosevelt Long said. "All I can do now is keep his memory going."
Three people involved in the shooting were also hit by gunfire, police said. Police said one of them was a 15-year-old boy, who was taken in a private vehicle to Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The other two victims, but 18-year-old men, were taken to Ben Taub General Hosptial with non-life-threatening wounds, investigators said.
There's been no word on whether Long's wife was hurt.
Police said Long was hit in the crossfire when the gunmen were shooting at the three teenagers.
